Meet Aaron Popkey, our 2016 Communicator of the Year

In August last year, the Green Bay Packers announced their master plan for the Titletown District. This vision described a destination area to be created on nearly 34 acres immediately west of Lambeau Field, one that would have a substantial economic impact for the greater Green Bay community and the Packers.

That announcement was just the first piece of what would be more than a year of constant communications and outreach for Packers Director of Public Affairs Aaron Popkey. His work has earned him recognition as PRSA Northeast Wisconsin's 2016 Communicator of the Year.

Join us for a casual conversation with Aaron about his year of high visibility communications. For Aaron, it's been a year of strategic communication with audiences as diverse as neighbors, potential sponsors, area business, local governments, Packers fans and the public at large. On top of that, he's been involved in tactics ranging from special events to community meetings.

And all of that has been on top of his "day job" as head of corporate communications for one of the country's best known and beloved professional football franchises.
