JoinFOX11 Good Day WI co-anchor Emily Deem and PRSA Northeast Wisconsin for our PRemier event of the year! At the 2018 PRemier Awards, we’ll honor the most exceptional public relations work in our area with a delicious meal, awards presentation and an enlightening lecture from 2018 Communicator of the Year recipient, Corrie Campbell.

Corrie Campbell serves as communications director and event coordinator for America’s only Church-Approved Marian Apparition site—the National Shrine of our Lady of Good Help in Champion, Wisconsin. Campbell successfully launched a multi-faceted national and international strategic communications plan to significantly increase growth of events, publicity, awareness and pilgrimage traffic. She has facilitated and promoted four international TV specials one of which earned the attention of NBC’s TODAY Show. Arranging a mass and event at the Shrine during the 2018 Catholic Press Association’s International Catholic Media Conference, Campbell partnered with the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay to bring together more than 300 journalists from around the world. The event generated priceless exposure and introduced the Secretariat of Communications for the Vatican, Dr. Natasa Govekar, to the Shrine. Campbell also arranged an exclusive interview for a local TV outlet with Dr. Govekar while she was in Green Bay that was re-broadcast nationally and internationally.
As a Green Bay native and graduate of Lawrence University, Campbell has strong roots in Northeastern Wisconsin. But first, her work as a professional singer and part-time writer led her to California and first stint in public relations. As Sonny Bono’s publicist, she handled national and international press for Bono’s mayoral campaign in 1988, catapulting her career as a journalist, editor and artistic director. Her return to Wisconsin was followed by a series of accomplishments including a Wisconsin Newspaper Association award for feature writing and the development of Green Bay’s “Walk of Legends,” a 24-statue tribute to Packers history that she created with her mother, Sandi. Campbell was appointed a position on the Brown County Board of Supervisors, elected twice by voters in 2014 and 2016. She served on the board’s Ed and Rec committee as vice-chair, its Transportation Coordinating Committee and was a liaison to the Board of Supervisors for both the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Brown County and the Nicolet Federated Library System. Campbell has remained a dedicated public servant as plan commissioner for the Ashwaubenon Plan Board and as president of the board of directors for the Nicolet Federated Library System. As a Dame in the Green Bay Area of the Order of Malta, Campbell manages the local organization’s food drive she spearheaded in spring 2018.
